  The Heart of a Horse

This true story is about a young girl named Gentry Pickett and the relationship she developed with a horse named Red Hot N Luvin it AKA Willie.
Willie was born in Folsom, Louisiana with crooked front legs. Ironically he was born on Gentry's birthday.
Over the course of his young years he was sent to 2 different trainers and returned home.
When hurricane Rita struck Lake Charles, the owner could no longer keep him and no one would buy a horse with crooked front legs.
Remembering that Gentry had ridden Willie and seemed to really like him a couple years previously, the owner offered Willie to Gentry for free.
Gentry and Willie developed a instant relationship as she trained Willie on her own to compete in the HUS. Gentry says "Willie has been a great addition to our family and is one of the smoothest and easiest horses I've ever ridden". Now riding with Ray (who showed Red Hot Impulse) and Nikki Riddle this team have climbed to heights never dreamed or imagined by either one of them. Qualifying for the World, winning many circuit awards and numerous AQHA points, Gentry says her goal is "To Win the 2008 World in the Youth HUS before she heads off to college". Her plans are to take Willie with her to school and compete in the Amateur all around.
